@ Hedsor House: Saturday 18th February

 HEDSOR'S KITCHEN

CHAMPAGNE AND WINE SPONSOR

Three miles away from the lake in which they are aiming to bring sporting glory to the nation, the nation's elite rowers and kayakers battled head to head in Hedsor's Kitchen: The Battle of Dorney Lake a unique fundraiser for both Sport Relief and athletes.

The athletes were given up a rare night off to cook for assembled guests at  the stunning Hedsor House, and under strict supervision of leading event caterers Melissa Webb they proudly presented a four course meal, for the guests deliberation and judging. The complimentary glasses of champagne and table wines, donated by Bibendum Wine the wine and champagne supplier to the London 2012 Olympics, helped create a relaxed attitude to the superb food.

Of course the occasion spawned many fantastic souvenir photos as the audience went home with signed photos of them and the athletes. courtesy of the Party for the Podium format.

At the end of the night, with a bit of expert judging from the residents chef, the votes of the assembled diners were cast, and, with the scores on the doors

1786 Rowers
1610 Kayakers

Team Rowing were crowned the first ever Hedsor's Kitchen champions.

If the Experience Auction pledges pan out then the event will have raised over £5700 for Sport Relief and Athletes.
